Congress Is Eyeing On Vijay For Kerala And Tamil Nadu Elections?

The Congress party is not that serious about the alliance in Tamil Nadu with its tried partner DMK, and instead is trying to woo Vijay and extend support for future sources, says. Perhaps this is an eye on the Kerala elections, a source says. Vijay is very popular in Kerala, with many fan clubs active there, and the Congress wants to capitalise on that popularity. 

It's unclear why Congress is moving slowly to decide the seat adjustment formula with the DMK and to back Vijay in the state. The DMK is ready to finalise the campaign formula, but a delay in the decision is also frustrating the DMK leadership, and they are likely to proceed alone, a source says. The support to Vijay started with a call from Rahul Gandhi to Vijay after the tragic rally episode and release difficulty of the movie, Jan Nayak, source says. Rahul wished the movie good luck.  

Some observers are amused by Congress's slow pace on seat adjustments and extend support to Vijay, keeping an eye on the Kerala elections. In local body elections, the party has done very well, and voter anti-incumbency against the left-led state government is high, says a source.
