The common perception that everything is fine in the top position is not correct. Sources say CM of Gujarat want to give one another extension to his CS, considered to be very efficient and important in bureaucracy. PS in PMO wants that experienced hand to be utilised in the centre as in the government of GUJRAT provision to grant two extensions is not available. Both are trying to submit their respective positions to the top because the decision is to be taken by them only. Sources say considering the proximity of the officer at the top his coming to Delhi will be difficult to avoid and in that case, Gujarat will have a new face as CS. If this happens, sources say he will be third in a row after Mrs Nirmala Sitharaman and Mr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar from JNU in top position.
