BJP and Alkalis are associates for quite a long period. Sources say in the Delhi assembly Akali party has decided to not contest in opposition to CAA implementation by BJP. In the last election, Akali contested on 3/4 seats and won one. This time also Akali leadership wanted to contest similar numbers but the head of the party decided to keep themselves away keeping in view prospects. Sikh wing of BJP is very happy to contest for these seats. Sources say this provided a chance to BJP leadership to dominate in the Sikh matter?
