Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha are having a separate TV to air their program and proceedings. Lok Sabha TV is functioning from one of Govt building but Rajya Sabha TV from the hired building of NDMC by paying approximately 10 crores as rent. Sources say to reduce the expenditure govt has formed a committee to study and submit a report on merger. Probably report has already been submitted to Chairman of Rajya Sabha and Speaker of Lok Sabha. If the proposal of government takes shape lot of money likely to be saved. The merged TV is likely to have only one CEO and the Journalists working for these TV to lose their assignments.
