Congress party was sure to have two seats from Gujarat state in Rajya Sabha. Considering the strength two leaders were nominated including  Rajeev Shukla, close associate of Gandhi family. Sources say it was very easy to  bag two seats but the MLA’s revolted for nominations of local leader for Rajya Sabha. Considering the precarious situation  Shukla himself opted out from the contest. Congress nominated two local leaders for the contest but probably revolt could not subside and four MLA,s to support BJP candidates. This will lead towards the loss of one seat to Congress. Political Analyst and sources say BJP is trying all possible measures to strengthen their position in Rajya Sabha?
