Presently Rajya Sabha TV is operating from Talkatora annex and paying crores of rupees as rent whereas Lok Sabha TV is functioning from Lok Sabha and a bungalow at Mahadev road. Sources say, to cut expenditures and suggestions to improve the functioning of both TVs, a committee headed by Surya Prakash was constituted, the report has been submitted and if accepted, very soon Rajya Sabha TV will be asked to wind up from annex and shift to Lok Sabha TV office. Sources say, during sessions combined channel “Sansad TV” to telecast live and after that, both will telecast the same matter to avoid the production of two programs to be telecasted simultaneously. Presently, the RSTV telecast program in English and RSTV generally in Hindi. The future will only tell the usefulness of the market of two channels?
