West Bengal is known to maintain dignity towards women. So far in history, no case reported any violence against women candidates but sources say during this campaign two political lady candidates were roughened by mobs. One is from TMC and the other is of BJP, sources say, Mrs. Khan, after denial a ticket from BJP, joined TMC and got a ticket, her husband is still in BJP and disowned her wife and announced in media that her wife is also not authorized to use his surname after joining by her the BJP. Sources say the other candidate is from BJP, sources say she has also been roughened by the public. The people of Bengal are not accustomed to such behavior meted out to lady and sources say, how this will be taken by the voters while casting their votes is not very clear.
