National Secretary of JD(U), Mohd. Ali Ashraf Fatami resigned from the post, a party source says. This has given room for speculation that the ex-minister is likely to join RJD source says. In case of his joining it is rumoured that he will be given a ticket from Darbhanga or Madhubani constituency source says. His son Faraz is a sitting MLA of JD(U). RJD is trying to bring back Fatami in the party fold considering his excellent track record of four victories from the Darbhanga constituency source says. The situation took a turn in favour of RJD when under seat sharing formula derived by BJP and JD(U) the Darbhanga seat was allocated to BJP source says. Perturbed by the decision, Fatami resigned, sources say. So far, he has not been inclined to join the RJD, but the RJD wants him in the party to consolidate its position amongst Muslim voters in the coming Lok Sabha elections, the source says.
